Goal guidance¶
openkoutsi can ask its AI coach, Koutsi, to look at one of your goals and tell you two things: whether it is realistic for the timeline you set, and what to actually do to reach it.
Setting a goal¶
On the Goals page you can set training or event goals with an optional target metric and value (for example, FTP 300 W) and a target date. Goals are yours to track — see Goals for the basics.
Asking Koutsi for guidance¶
Each active goal has a Get AI guidance button. When you press it, Koutsi looks at the goal alongside your current fitness, fatigue and form, your recent training, and your active plan, and writes back a short piece of coaching advice.
The guidance is generated on demand — it is not refreshed automatically — so it only runs when you ask for it. While Koutsi is thinking, the card shows a typing indicator; the finished guidance is saved on the goal, so it is still there when you come back.
The realism verdict¶
Every piece of guidance opens with a colour-coded verdict:
- Realistic — the goal is well within reach on your current timeline and trajectory.
- Ambitious — a real stretch, but achievable with focused, consistent work.
- Unrealistic — not attainable without a change, such as extending the date, adjusting the target, or a big step up in training.
Below the verdict, Koutsi explains the reasoning in your athlete's numbers and gives concrete steps to move toward the goal.
Re-run after changes
Guidance is a snapshot of the moment you asked. If you edit the goal or your fitness moves on, press Refresh to get an up-to-date read.
Written in your language
The advice is written in your interface language. The verdict word itself (realistic / ambitious / unrealistic) drives the coloured badge.
Requires AI to be available
Goal guidance uses an AI model. On servers where AI features require a subscription, you will be prompted to subscribe or to connect your own model.
