openkoutsi¶
openkoutsi is a self-hosted cycling coaching platform. Upload your rides, track how your fitness is trending, and follow a training plan built around your own goals — all from a server you control.
koutsi (κουτσί) — Finnish for coach.
These docs are a work in progress
This site is the user guide for openkoutsi. It explains how to use each feature. It is not a developer or API reference. Pages will be expanded over time — if something is missing, check back later.
Who it is for¶
- Athletes who want to own their training data instead of handing it to a cloud service.
- Self-hosters running openkoutsi on their own hardware — for themselves, or for a group of friends or family who each want their own account.
One openkoutsi deployment is a single instance that any number of users can share. Everyone gets their own account and their own private training data — see Getting started.
What you can do¶
- Bring in your rides — upload FIT files directly, or sync automatically from Strava and Wahoo. See Activities & sync.
- Track your fitness — watch your fitness, fatigue, and form trend over time. See Fitness metrics.
- Follow a plan — generate a periodized training plan, build structured interval workouts, and push them to your head unit. See Training plans & workouts.
- Get coaching feedback — optional AI-generated analysis of your activities and daily training status.
